The Nanaimo Clippers have been consistently compiling points, and it’s lifted them into first place.
The city’s B.C. Hockey League team earned at least a point in all three of its road games this past weekend, losing 3-2 in double overtime to the Prince George Spruce Kings on Friday, beating the Chilliwack Chiefs 3-2 on Saturday and then falling 2-1 to the Langley Rivermen in OT on Sunday.
In the win, Parker Colley scored the winning goal, David Silye had a goal and two assists and Brady Lynn also tallied. Taz Burman made 26 saves.
Jamie Collins and Lucas Vanroboys scored in the loss at P.G. Former Clipper Evan DeBrouwer was the winning goalie.
Jake Harris scored in the loss in the Fraser Valley.
Nanaimo has at least a point in nine straight games and is tied with the Powell River Kings atop the Island Division standings.
GAME ON … The Clippers visit the Victoria Grizzlies on Friday, Nov. 24 and host the Alberni Valley Bulldogs on Saturday, Nov. 25 at 6 p.m. at Frank Crane Arena.
