The Nanaimo Clippers announced two key player commitments as they look ahead to the 2015-16 hockey season.
The B.C. Hockey League club added a pair of 18-year-old forwards this week, Christopher Smith and D.J. Petruzzelli.
Smith, from Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, Que., played the past two years at Stanstead Prep School in Stanstead, Que., and this past season he scored 52 goals and 83 points in 58 games played.
Petruzzelli, of Springfield, Mass., scored 21 goals and 67 points in 25 games with his high school team. He has already secured an NCAA Div. 1 scholarship to Quinnipiac University.
