The Nanaimo Clippers extended their win streak, with their best player again leading the way.
Sheldon Rempal had two goals and an assist as the Shipmen handled the Victoria Grizzlies 5-2 on Friday down the Malahat.
Yanni Kaldis, Adam Pilotte and Chris Dodero were the other Nanaimo scorers and Devin Brosseau added a pair of assists.
Goalie Evan Johnson earned the win, making 26 saves as his team outshot the hosts 35-28.
The Clippers have now won five straight games, with Rempal chosen first star in all five.
GAME ON … The Clips and Grizz play a rematch tonight (Dec. 1) in Victoria, then take a road trip to the Interior, playing the Prince George Spruce Kings on Friday, the Chilliwack Chiefs on Saturday and the Surrey Eagles on Sunday. Nanaimo’s next home game is Dec. 11 against the Merritt Centennials.
