Comox Bay Sailing Club spring meeting set

All welcome to attend March 14 at The Tee Box (Comox Golf Course) restaurant

The Comox Bay Sailing Club is holding its Spring General Meeting and Membership Drive on Saturday, March 14 at the Tee Box (Comox Golf Course).

“If you are an existing member, or simply interested in learning more about the club and sailing, we welcome your attendance at this all ages fun-filled social event,” said CBSC commodore Andy Walther.

The event begins at 4:30 p.m. with a welcome reception, followed by the general meeting at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 6 p.m. and a presentation “Sailing to Alaska” by Bob Hodgson from 7 to 8 p.m.

The 30-minute general meeting will offer an overview of CBSC member benefits, dinghy and keelboat activities, and also our big plans for 2015 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Comox Bay Sailing Club.

“Bob Hodgson has mounds of cruising/racing experience, is a great storyteller/ presenter, and I for one am very much looking forward to his presentation on his sailing trip to Alaska last summer,” Walther said.

“We’re really hoping that everyone can make it. Please use the following link to confirm your attendance: http://bit.ly/1v6eJMx

“Finally, since the CBSC branded hat and T-shirt sale was so successful last year, we will also bring samples of other clothing and bags etc., to see if there is interest in placing another order,” Walther added
