Comox Valley athletes played a key role in boosting Zone 2 (Vancouver Island North) to third place at the 2012 BC Seniors Games, held Aug. 21-25 in Burnaby.
Zone 2 collected 80 gold, 83 silver and 65 bronze for a total of 228 medals. Zone 4 (Lower Mainland) took first with 473 medals while Zone 3 (Fraser Valley) was second with 418. There were 13 zones represented at the Games.
