The Comox United Div 1 men’s soccer team is hitting the pitch this weekend.
They’re hosting a five-team preseason tourney at home, and they’re encouraging fans to come by Vanier Turf Field for a peak at this season’s squad.
Joining Comox United will be Nanaimo United FC Div 1, Powell River Villa Div 1, Vic West FC Div 1 and Campbell River Div 2.
The event starts with Comox facing off against Powell River at 11 a.m. on Saturday. It’ll be followed by Nanaimo versus Vic West, Powell River versus Campbell River, Comox versus Nanaimo and Campbell River versus Vic West. On Sunday, Comox will be Vic West at 11 a..m. and Campbell River at 2 p.m. They will be shortening the pre-season games to 60 minutes.

The team held tryout in early August at Vanier to put together the team for the 2021/22 season.
