Three courses were set; snowboard, slalom and giant slalom and racers were not deterred by the challenging conditions.

Thanks to a bunch of dedicated volunteers and keen racers the day was terrific success.

-Tim Markholm trophy – fastest SD 10 high school boarder – Dylan Homis

-John Gleboff trophy – fastest SD 10 high school skier – Taylor Aeichele

-Teanne Jones trophy – Fastest Nancy Greene skier – Angus Jackson

Street hockey results:

Saturday’s Shinny Tournament winner was Team Cordingly and the winner of the seniors’ event was Team Smith.

There were 10 teams total for a very successful first year.

Everyone had a very good time.

Kootenay Wildcats results:

The Kootenay AAA Wildcats all-female team was in Nakusp this last weekend for a match against Kelowna.

An avalanche that blocked off the Trans-Canada highway also had lots of players from Kelowna unable to attend the game. The teams were then made up for by sending over Wildcats players.

The game ended in a 6–4 defeat for the Wildcats, but it was a great show put on by both teams.
