Vernon’s Braeden Cooper went from first to worst on the Interior Zone Junior Golf Tour last weekend.

The Grade 10 VSS student fired a 75 Saturday to win the Summerland stop and then ballooned to a 93 Sunday at the Penticton Golf & Country Club.

Cooper, who recently lost one of his biggest fans in his uncle, Al Cooper, of Coquitlam, defeated three players by two strokes for his first win of the young season.

Adam Niles of Rivershore, second in Summerland, shot 72 Sunday to take the Penticton title by three strokes.
