The Isfeld Ice 3A senior boys basketball team kicked off the new year with a win over Ballenas Secondary, Tuesday in Parksville.
Ice co-captain Temwa Mtawali scored 43 points in the 95-59 win.
“Our record now stands at 10-4,” Isfeld coach Dikran Zabunyan said. “We should be at full strength within a week or so as we only played with eight guys.”
Zach Taylor chipped in 18 points for Isfeld, Quinn Roberts scored 12, co-captain Sam Purcell had 11 and Owen Crouse scored eight points.
This weekend, Isfeld competes at the annual Totem Classic in Port Alberni.
