Some of the top junior boys basketball teams in B.C. will be in action at the 2015 Thunderbird Classic this Friday and Saturday.
The host Cowichan Thunderbirds, an honourable mention in the latest top-15 poll, will host the eightteam tournament, which includes top-ranked Walnut Grove, third-ranked St. George’s and another honourable mention in Oak Bay.
Cowichan will open the tournament against Belmont at 3:30 p.m., while St. George’s will face Claremont at the Quamichan campus at 3:45 p.m. Games will continue Friday, and again on Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m. The final will go at 4:15 p.m. Cowichan’s senior team will play Heritage Woods at 1 p.m.
