The Williams Lake Cross Country Ski Club is eagerly anticipating the snow to fly for the upcoming season.
Work bees at Bull Mountain have been productive so the trails are already in good shape, said Jen Clark, communications and publicity executive member for the WLCCSC.
“There are currently 134 members registered and the club anticipates more registrations once the snow falls,” she said. “A number of youth are registered for the Jackrabbits youth development program and the club is now recruiting and training new coaches.”
New coaches are always welcome and needed, she added.

The WLCCSC is excited to be adding two new programs for youth this year: there will now be a recreational youth ski group that will meet weekly for a fun trail ski.
There will also be a new ski school program starting up being piloted for a limited number of grades and schools in School District 27 with the plan to expand for next year.
The always-popular Family Fun Day is scheduled for Jan. 12. 2019, and once again, Clark said the club is partnering with the First Nations Health Authority to host the event.
The WLCCSC is inviting anyone interested in cross-country skiing, or the club, to visit its new website at www.williamslakecrosscountryskiclub.ca or find them on Facebook.
