Anyone who wants to learn more about cross country skiing or who would like to buy used or new equipment at a reasonable price might want to check out the 100 Mile House Nordics Society Ski Swap and Discovery Day.
It takes place on Oct. 30 from 12-4 p.m. at their 99 Mile day lodge, located on Ainsworth Road, 2 km south of town.
Both buyers and those wanting to sell equipment are invited, and for experienced skiers, it might be a good opportunity to upgrade says Lauren Bock, Nordics events coordinator. Experts will be on hand to help with selection and offer tips on waxing.
People will also be able to register for children’s and adult programs and purchase their trail pass and club membership.
Gear drop-off is from 10 a.m. to 12 noon and the sale is from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Refreshments will be available at the lodge.
