The Quesnel Crossfire were torched by the Prince George Devils 15-5 in a battle for second spot in the Prince George Lacrosse Association.
After taking a convincing 10-3 victory over their rivals from the north last week, the Crossfire were unable to contain Nathanial McFayden, who had a monster night potting a couple goals and assisting on six.

Devils leading scorer Colton Poulin was also a pitchfork in the side of the Crossfire, as he found the back of the net four times.
Chase Ballendine scored twice for the Quesnel squad, who will need to get their first victory of the season over the Prince George Bandits if they hope to secure home advantage for the first round of the playoffs.
Ballendine says the team fared well considering they were playing shorthanded and without starting goaltender Tomas Reistad.
“This week was finals for school, so a few members of the team had to put school as a priority, but hopefully we have a better turnout for next game.
“We just need to have a full bench out there and make sure we lay as a team because once we get selfish, we go downhill.”
Hunter McSeveny and Dusty Cathcart each added a goal and two assists, and Landen Scott notched three assists.

Of note was a clean penalty sheet for the Crossfire, who managed to stay out of the box for the entire game.
Dalton McEntire for the Devil’s and the Crossfire’s Mitch MacLean both served a one game suspension for their fight in the previous game.
