Crown Isle Gentlemen’s Night opens new season

It was a great start for Gentlemen’s Night at Crown Isle last Tuesday, May 10 with 18 guys picking up 25 prizes.

A big night for Craig Rennison, shooting lights out and winning four prizes: long drive (13+) on #1, McDonald’s; KP 2nd shot on #2, the Head Shed Hair Salon; KP (13+) on #4, Assante Capital; and KP (13+) on #7, Sean Sweeney Barristers.

We had four “double dippers” with Jason Andrew taking 2nd shot KP on #2, Thrifty Foods; and “closest to the Mustang” on #3, Westview Ford; Charles Belanger taking longest putt on #5 (35 feet) Finneron Hynudai and KP (-12) on #7 Sean Sweeney Barristers; Brent Cunnliffe won “2nd shot closest to Art Meyers, Royal LePage” on #9; and also won “Joke of the Night”, Crown Isle Golf.

Showing the “apple doesn’t fall far”  was Jerry Williams winning 3rd shot KP (13+) on #5 (2 feet,7″) Scotia MacLeod, Russ Keil and “Closest to the White Spot” White Spot Restaurant.

The low gross was 34 shot by Rod Prieto, the Prime Chop House with low net 31 by Shane Evans, sponsored by Hollis Wealth.

On hole #8 we have threeprizes in “Magic Circles” for sharpshooters: at 150 yards, Jon Lloyd, Brian Rice Toyota; at 200 yards, Jim Heald, Mike Hamilton Logging; and at 250 yards, Wayne Fontaine won the BMO Nesbitt Burns.

The rest of our winners were: Ric Maguire long drive (-12) Bill Anglin, Re/Max; Barry Manning won the Hidden Hole, Billy D’s GC; Bruce Russell won KP on #16, Gee Associates; Lorne Seitz won KP on #12, Jim’s Clothes Closet; Dean Wanless won “any Eagle” on #5, the Eagle 97.3 – who knew?
