CVMHA celebrates Minor Hockey Day

The Cowichan Valley Minor Hockey Association held its annual Minor Hockey Day on Sunday, Jan. 25. Every player was invited to attend a fun skate, with hotdogs and hot chocolate donated by Tim Hortons. It was a great turnout and every player was entered into a draw for prizes.

This year, most of the prizes were donated from the estate of Larry Irving, an avid collector of sports memorabilia. Thanks to the Irving family for donating these items.

It was a fun day for all and the team with the most players in attendance was our peewee Tier 2 team and they won a special prize.

Special thanks to the volunteers that helped coordinate this very successful event and especially to Kathy and Dale Irving for their hard work and dedication to minor hockey.
