CWFL starts 36th season this Sunday

Three-game slate at McAdam Park includes 2018 title rematch

The Cowichan Women’s Football League will return for its 36th season starting this Sunday at McAdam Park.

The slate of three games on opening day includes a rematch of last year’s final, pitting the defending champion Ravens against the runner-up Blue Steel at 10 a.m. Also at 10 a.m., the Winter Trucking Storm will face Moo’s Law. The late game at noon will see the Crew take on The Wild.

The CWFL is still looking for players for this season, which runs until the end of June. Anyone 16 and up interested in signing up is encouraged to get in touch.

“All you need are cleats and a great attitude,” league founder Chris Mann noted.
