Find out where Vancouver Island’s best back road biking routes are at an upcoming presentation by a cyclist who has covered the Island.
Gregg Strong, of Courtenay, has compiled a list of favourite rides for all levels of riders. It ranges from popular cycling routes on the Island’s main roads to favourite backroad bike-packing rides for cyclists who prefer to get going where the going gets rough.
Strong presents Cycle Touring Vancouver Island: Popular Backroads and Bikepacking Routes at the Nanaimo Museum on Wednesday, April 26, at 7 p.m.
The event is co-sponsored by Hub City Cycles, the City of Nanaimo and Bike To Work Week Nanaimo.
Admission is by $10 suggested donation, with proceeds supporting Hub City Cycles community co-operative.
