When the dust settled and the last fender had crumpled, a car from Hope came in first place at the 18th Annual Salmon Arm Demolition Derby held Sunday. Taking top honours was car #35 with driver Jim Lasser and co-pilot Dusty Smith.

In second place was Armstrong vehicle #36 driven by Leroy Williamson and co-piloted by Kevin McDaniel. Third place also went to an Armstrong car, #63, with Charmaine Williamson at the wheel and Lyndsay Hauff co-piloting.

Taking Power Puff honours was car #8 driven by Alena Turner. Best Paint went to car #51 with Lorry Strinholn at the wheel, and the Funniest Car award went to car #3 driven by Gary Lanoue.
