White Rock’s Tavia Waiz did it again.
Waiz pulled off the double-double winning gold in the women’s Group B 1m title on Friday and then in the 3m group on Saturday in B.C. Winter Games competition.
She also won both titles at the last B.C. Games in 2010.
She won with a score of 282.65.
With this her second Games experience, Waiz said she was just focused on having fun, which was made easier by winning.
“Being with a group, it is a pretty fun atmosphere,” she said.
The race for the silver medal came down to just more than one point.
Zone 6’s Coral Strusnell edged out Zone 5’s Kaelyn Burgess 238.3 to 237.05.
