Cumberland proved to be the place to watch quality flat track roller derby Sunday when the Dodge City Rollers defeated the Sea to Sky Sirens from Squamish.
The bout was evenly matched and both sides fought a good battle, but it was Dodge City’s game by half time with a score of 55-15. The second period flew by with numerous penalties going to the Rollers, but the strong offence and strategic coaching from Sista Fista resulted in a 100-40 victory for Cumberland’s finest.
“The Dodge City Rollers would like to thank the Sea to Sky Sirens, the CRI, the volunteers, the refs and skaters from Victoria, and of course, the fans,” a team spokesperson said.
