The Aldergrove Dodgers are the best in the west.
The Dodgers captured the the Western Canadian bantam AAA baseball championship on Sunday afternoon with a 5-1 victory over the Regina Buffalos.
The tournament, which began on Aug, 15, was held at Aldergrove Athletic Park.
In the final, starting pitcher Jake Polancic was dominant, pitching a complete game.
And the Dodgers defence played flawless behind him.
For the tournament, the Dodgers — made up of players from Aldergrove and Langley — went a perfect 5-0.
The team did need a pair of come-from-behind victories to finish atop its pool with a 3-0 mark.
And in the semifinals, the team doubled up the North Winnipeg Pirates 4-2.
Yi-An Pan was the winning pitcher against the Pirates, while twin brother Yi-Fan Pan got the save.
