When the Mission Racers Speed Skating Club called out for a coach to replace a retiring volunteer, Mission Hall of Fame member Eden Donatelli-Green answered.
The Racers have a 35-year history of developing skating skills in athletes from 4 years and up, some with no prior experience. Donatelli-Green will be leading practices with the beginning skaters assisting head coach Derrick Ross and club president Bruce Wenting.
The Racers host practices twice weekly at the Leisure Centre with members ranging from four years old and up. Interested individuals may take a two-week trial membership for $50 and can register for one or two sessions weekly.
