Chilliwack Track and Field Club athletes turned in eight first-place performances at the Eagle Classic Meet, held last weekend in Maple Ridge.
Andrew Kirk led the way in the 12-year-old boys division, taking gold in the 100 and 200 metre dashes.
Kirk’s blistering times (13.12 and 26.82s) earned him the Herb Gee award for the meet’s outstanding performance.
Marin Lenz was impressive in the nine-year-old girls division, taking gold in the 60m hurdles with a time of 12.63s. She added silver in the 60m dash and double bronze in the 100m dash and long jump.
Nikki Gregory (11-year-old girls) scored double gold in the 100 and 200m dashes. In the same age group, Sienna Lenz took top spot in the high jump (1.20m) and shot-put (7.08m).
Ron Wichmann earned gold in the masters division 1600m run, finishing in 6:04.19.
Rowan Hamilton (11-year-old boys) earned silver in the shot-put and bronze in the high jump while Zach Muir (10-year-old boys) took silver in the 1000m run.
Delaney Belknop (12-year-old girls) finished second in the 1200m run.
Afton Servatius (13-year-old girls) placed second in the 100m dash and third in the 200m dash while Megan Muir placed third in the 1600m run.
