The Sicamous Eagles enjoyed a stellar weekend of home game wins – 4-0 against the Penticton Lakers and 6-2 against the Chase Heat.
No matter how hard the Lakers played Friday night, they could not get a thing past Sicamous netminder Kris Drott. After another amazing performance, stopping 33 shots in net, Drott was named the game’s first star.
Goals didn’t come until the second period. The first came on a power play from Matt Reed, assisted by Kory Movold and Brad Crump. Teammate Corbin Marcotte put it between the pipes with :32 on the clock, aided by Crump and Steven Powers.

Marcotte was in top form during Sunday’s game against the Heat. He potted two goals in the first period, aided by Reed, Steven Powers and Mike Piderman, and was named the game’s first star. Chase tied things up until Devries put in Sicamous’ second goal (assisted by Taekema), one minute before Marcotte’s.
The second frame remained stuck at 3-1 right up to a power play in the last two minutes that gave Sicamous the upper hand. Brendan Wilde (Connor Fynn, Crump) and Terran Cavanaugh (unassisted) each found the back of the Chase net.
Sicamous’ final goal came late in the third frame from Brett Trofanenko (unassisted).
Second and third stars were earned by Piderman and Drott, who shut down 23 out of 25 shots.
The Eagles are on the road for their next four games against the North Okanagan Knights, the Creston Valley Thundercats, the Fernie Ghost Riders and the Kimberly Dynamiters, Dec. 4, 7, 9 and 10. They’re back in Sicamous on Dec. 16 to face off against the Golden Rockets. Game time is 7 p.m.
