Opposing goaltenders were no match for the Langley atom A1 Eagles.
The Eagles were never held to less than five goals, scoring a combined 53 goals over six games to win the gold medal at the Kamloops Minor Hockey Association atom A tournament Nov. 6 to 8.
The closest challenger to Langley was the host Kamloops side, which fell 6-4 in the gold medal game.
Kamloops also held Langley to five goals during pool play, a 5-2 Eagles win.
In the team’s other games, they beat Vernon and Kelowna by identical 7-1 scores, hammered Abbotsford 19-1 and then beat Kelowna 9-2 in the semifinals.
