Eagles soar early, hammer Langley Rivermen

Langley's modest two-game winning streak ends at hands of Surrey

Four goals in the first 10 minutes put the game out of reach.

The visiting Surrey Eagles struck early and often en route to an 8-2 win over the Langley Rivermen on Wednesday night at the Langley Events Centre in junior A B.C. Hockey League action.

Bo Pellah and Chris Tracy had the Rivermen goals while captain Ryan Bakken picked up a pair of assists.

Sean McGovern paced the Eagles with a hat trick, while Steve Koshey and Brandon Morley each scored twice for Surrey.

The loss ended Langley’s modest two-game win streak.

The Rivermen are next in action on Thursday (Feb. 9) when they host the Cowichan Valley Capitals.
