Kamloops’ offence woke up late in the second as they rattled off three goals in a minute and a half, cutting the lead to two.
Sicamous spent the majority of the third hemmed in their own zone desperately trying to hold onto their lead, but the Storm completed the comeback scoring five unanswered goals and forcing overtime.
The Storm continued to create chances and dominated the zone time in the extra frame until Sicamous took advantage of a Kamloops turnover gaining entry into the offensive zone.
The Eagles worked the puck around in the corner before Alex Astasiewicz fired a shot from the point.
With a crowd of players in front of the Kamloops crease, Hay picked out the rebound and fired it past Aris Anagnostopoulos for the overtime victory.
Sicamous made the trip down to Princeton for a game on Saturday, and returned home losing 4-0.
The Eagles will kick off November against the Storm, again on home ice.
