The former Vernon Laker superstar scored four times and set up three others to hit the 118-point plateau in his 18th game.
Seattle Thunderbird grad Tyler Quiring netted 5+2 as the Canucks improved to 21-1-1. Reed Church collected 1+4 and Troy Killingbeck bagged six assists.
Steve Ushy recorded the hat trick for the Whalers (13-9-1), while Jerry Reinhardt earned 2+1, Steve Burke counted 1+2 and Kyle Johnson a single. Mike Sutch and Denis Ouelette each had two helpers.
Former Nanaimo Clipper Scott Kowalski produced 4+1 as the Re/Max Rangers slammed the Aquatico Bay Bar & Grill Sharks 11-2 in the early Wednesday nighter at Wesbild.
Steve Vallier provided 2+1 and ex-Viper Richard Jodoin had 1+5 as the Rangers went to 18-3-2.
Tim Proctor, with 1+3, Brad Kowalski and Rich Haldane also scored for Re/Max, who got 26 saves from Blair Miller. Al Betton, Glenn Mitchell and Mike Jodoin each had two assists.
Sam Pantaleo and Taylor Zoethout replied for the 9-10-3 Sharks.
Cody Watson registered the lone shootout goal as the surging Kal Tire Knights clipped the Godard Excavating Predators 7-6 Tuesday night at Civic Arena.
Curtis Summerfelt snagged 2+2 for the 7-16-1 Knights, who got singles from Jake Stuchberry, Taylor Summerfelt, Evan McCaulay and Cody Watson. Kyle Engelmyer pocketed three helpers.
Watson beat Predator goalie Jordan Vallance with Kal Tire’s second shootout attempt. Engelmyer missed on his shot, while Ryan Dutcher stopped Daniel Stein, Justin Horochuk and Logan Stockley of the Predators.
Dutcher also stymied Curtis Gobbett on a penalty shot early in the final period.
Stockley, with two goals, Horochuk and Stein, with 1+2 each, Ryan Black and James O’Reilly completed the 14-10 Preds’ attack.
