Elementary basketball league kicks off its season in Prince Rupert

Conrad School played against Lax Kxeen on Jan. 24

The elementary school basketball season kicked off on Jan. 24. Students from Conrad School, Roosevelt Elementary School and Lax Kxeen Elementary School will be playing games against each other over the next four weeks.

Conrad and Lax Kxeen’s boys teams squared off against each other in the Conrad gym on Thursday afternoon while the girls teams played at Lax Kxeen.

“I think they had a lot of fun, they were playing hard,” said Conrad School principal Kerri Levelton. “I was reffing so I was letting a lot go, but I think they had a lot of fun.”
