The Creston Valley Figure Skating Club is proud to welcome back Fairlite Rogers as head coach this season. She will be running the basic skating skills program, CanSkate, as well as power skating and adult skating.
Club members who choose to progress past basic skating skills to competitive and test-based figure skating will be guaranteed success in the STARSkate program, as Rogers has 17 years coaching experience, as well as passing her Gold Feet and Junior Silver freeskate tests. Few skaters reach the Gold Feet Skate Canada test status of having achieved three gold level tests. Rogers has achieved gold level in the dance, skills and artistic test categories.
Whether you want basic skating skills to enjoy winter outings with friends and family, are looking to improve your hockey game with power skating or are ready to explore the grace and athletic challenge of figure skating, Rogers will help you reach your goals.
The Creston Valley Figure Skating Club will be holding its registration night at the Creston and District Community Complex on Sept. 28 from 5-7 p.m. It will also be taking registration on the first two CanSkate sessions of the season, from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Oct. 11 and 15. If these dates are inconvenient, contact the club at cvfsc88@yahoo.com to make arrangements.
The skating club accepts skaters ages three and up. Register to give yourself and your kids the skills and confidence to enjoy skating, one of Canada’s favourite winter activities!
