Fifty-seven year old Blair Fisher achieved the feat at the competition, hosted by the Xconditioning Gym in the Spruce City.

Fisher competed in the push-pull event Sunday, May 27 in bench press and pull/deadlift.

In the bench press event, Fisher began with a successful 423.5-pound attempt. He then completed his second lift at 440 pounds, but missed his third attempt at 445.5 pounds.

The pull deadlift event saw Fisher start with a 605-pound completion. He then missed his second attempt of 638 pounds, but successfully lifted the 638 pounds on his third try.

As a result, Fisher was awarded the first-place win and, although he said it wasn’t a personal best for him, noted he was happy with the outcome.

Fisher thanked his team, who also attended the meet, Tyson Delay of Williams Lake and Shalynn McCauley and Anthony Faggiani of Quesnel for their support.
