Any paying fan who brings a pair of non-perishable food items to Friday night’s Cowichan Valley Capitals game against the Nanaimo Clippers will receive a second ticket for free as part of the B.C. Hockey League’s Five Hole for Food challenge.
Each team in the BCHL holds the event once per season, with all donations going to local food banks. Donations are weighed at the end of the night with bragging rights going to the team that collects the most food.
The donations collected by the Caps will go to the Cowichan Basket Society.
