Ciara McCrae avenged an earlier loss to a Nanaimo opponent and beat her 5-0 winning the gold.
Perfect Payten Smith continued her four-year unbeaten streak, staying at the top of the podium.
Greg McKenzie wrestling the tournament of his life and also won gold.
Tyler Drew Harris returned to his former high school in Alberni, bringing a gold medal back to MRSS.
Grade 8 phenom Wolfie Wallace also won all four matches and the gold.
Scott McKenzie lost only match, but had to settle for bronze and Gaerth Bourke and Matt Sillipanni placed fifth and Coach Bill McCrae invites MRSS wrestling fans and alumni on Saturday as Ridge hosts the Upper Fraser Valley Wrestling Championships, which are also qualifiers for the provincials in Prince George on Feb. 28 and March 1.
It will also be Smith’s farewell matches at MRSS, as she finishes her high school career.
