The South Okanagan Flames lacrosse team has improve to 1-1 in the Thompson Okanagan Junior Lacrosse League.
The Flames hosted the Armstrong Shamrocks at Memorial Arena Monday night and picked up a 15-11 victory in a rough tilt. The teams combined for 98 penalty minutes, 47 for the Flames. Leading the Flames’ offence was captain Kaid MacLeod with six goals and added three assists. Scoring a pair of goals were Chris Pond, Jake MacLeod and Connor Walton, while Kiana Casavant scored the other Flames goal. Pond racked up six assists and Mitch Brodt four. Jake MacLeod, Casavant, Connor Walton, Trevor Dermody and Dean Grimm each collected an assist.
The Flames outshot the Shamrocks 53-50.
All Flames home games are at Memorial Arena at 7:30 p.m. Their next game is May 11 against the Vernon Tigers, then on May 25 against the Kamloops Venom, June 1 against the Kelowna Raiders, June 15 against the Shamrocks and their final regular season home game is June 22 against the Raiders.
