Competing against more than 900 gymnasts from around the province, Langley’s Flip City Gymnastics had some stellar results.
The club, along with Gymnastics BC, hosted the B.C. gymnastics championships at the Langley Events Centre April 15 to 17.
In the trampoline and tumbling competition, Sophie Kraushar (double mini trampoline), Connar Tomalty (senior men’s double mini trampoline) and Allyson Armstrong (tumbling) each won a gold medal while Owen Armstrong earned a pair of silver medals in the double mini trampoline and trampoline.
In the gymnastics competition, Makenna Guidish won the provincial all-around title for the JO 8 level. She also came first on the floor, second on the bars and third on the vault.
She also teamed with Alecksa Torrance and Maya Crutch to win the JO 8 all-around team title.
Torrance and Crutch were both second in the all-around, Crutch came first on the vault, third on the floor and fourth on the bars. Torrance was second on the beam, third on the vault and fifth on the floor.
Guidish, Crutch, Jennifer Hung and Lauren Van Harmelen qualified for the western Canadian championships while Van Harmelen also qualified for the nationals.
In the JO 5 competition, Akaisha Torrance was third all-around, third on the floor and fourth on the beam.

Jennifer Hung (JO 9) first on the bars.
Jacklynn Matthews (JO 8) third on the floor.
Emma Schmor (JO 8) fifth on the vault.
Courtney Smith (JO 8) fourth on the beam.
Melody Hung (JO 8) sixth on the bars.
Sammi To (JO 8) second on the beam, fourth on the floor.
Thalia Simpson(JO 5) second on the vault, fifth on the beam.
Chloe Hill (JO 5) third on the vault.
Kyra Sager-Hoffard (JO 9) second on the beam.
Lauren Van Harmelen (JO 10) third on the floor.
In the men’s artistic competition, Connor Fielding (level 2) was third all-around, first on the parallel bars, second on the floor, fourth on the rings, and seventh on both the vault and pommel horse.
Owen Fielding (level 2) was fourth all-around, second on the rings and parallel bars and fifth on the floor.
And Noah Ichihara (level 3) was seventh all-around, third on the vault, fourth on the floor and fifth on the parallel bars.
