After playing his 20-year-old season with the Cowichan Valley Capitals, Paul Selleck is now headed to the college ranks.
The two-way centre has committed to NCAA Div. III Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut beginning this fall.
A product of Laguna Hills, California, Selleck spent the 2018-19 season with the Caps, collecting 34 points on 16 goals and 18 assists in 56 regular-season games. He was second on the team in playoff scoring, with nine points on four goals and five helpers while playing all 12 post-season contests.
Selleck was acquired from the Alberni Valley Bulldogs just before the start of the 2018-19 season. Over his two-year B.C. Hockey League career, Selleck played 114 games, scoring 33 goals and assisting on 34 more for 67 points, with 30 penalty minutes.
At Trinity College, Selleck will join defenceman Andrew Troy, who started the 2018-19 campaign with the Caps before joining the Minnesota Wilderness of the NAHL, playing 26 games without recording a point.
