Despite missing leading scorer Kelsey Thompson, the Fulton Maroons reeled off a pair of wins at a senior girls basketball tournament hosted by the George Elliot Coyotes Friday in Lake Country.
The Maroons used 12 points each from Tavia Lochhead, Game MVP Amanda Sakamoto and Sam Ferrier to stop the Pleasant Valley Saints 49-29 in their opener.
Sakamoto canned 11 points and Melissa Silva turned in a great two-way effort to earn Game MVP as Fulton grounded the Kalamalka Lakers 57-47 in the second game.
Katie Rogers (13 points), Kaelyn Parmalee (11 points) and Tori Chabot (10 points) were Kal’s top scorers.
