Revelstoke is playing host to three big sporting events this Labour Day weekend. Here’s how you can watch:
— For mountain bikers, the BC Enduro Series is in town. Day one took place on the Crow Bar trail on Mount Mackenzie. Day two (Sunday) takes place on Boulder Mountain. Rednecks Revenge, Boondockers, Bike Club, Logging Leftovers, Tall Timber and Man Quads are all being used in the race. The first racers leave the start line at 7 a.m. and riders should be on the course into the early afternoon.
— For dirt bike fans, the World Trials Canada National Trials Championship (West) is taking place along the Sledhalla (Frisby Ridge) Forest Service Road. Beginners and intermediates compete in the morning, while the pros hit the course in the afternoon. If you want to watch, just drive up the road and look for the parked vehicles — just watch out for dirt bikers.
— Golfers can enjoy the 86th annual Labour Day Classic at the Revelstoke Golf Club. The first groups tee off at 9 a.m. The women’s event wraps up on Sunday, while the men continue playing on Monday.
