After losing a heartbreaker in overtime in game one, the Langley Thunder saw their season end in game two, a 10-1 loss to the Port Coquitlam Saints.
The Saints scored four times in the first period of game two on Thursday (July 14) night at the Langley Events Centre and never looked back, eliminating the Thunder two games to zero in the BC Junior A Lacrosse League playoff series.
Bobby Kidd had the lone Thunder goal in the defeat.
Game one was a much different story.
Kidd scored twice in the final 6:43 to force overtime and Dylan Kaminski gave Langley a 6-5 lead in the first minute of the 10-minute overtime period.
But the Saints tied the score and Parker Kump — a Langley Minor Lacrosse product — scored the winner with 52 seconds to play.
Nathaniel Kozevnikov, Andrew Gresham and Brady Barrett had the other Langley goals.
