The Gators were absolutely dominant in Thursday’s first half, building a 42-13 lead after the opening 20 minutes against the Gleneagle Talons.

The two senior boys’ basketball teams were playing on the consolation side of the B.C. high school AAA championships at the Langley Events Centre.

The Gators shot 49 per cent from the field, while holding Gleneagle to just 29 per cent.

Walnut Grove can still finish as high as sixth.

They will face the Oak Bay Bays on Friday (March 18) at 2:30 p.m.
