Only one local school remains alive at the Grade 8 boys’ Fraser Valley championships following Tuesday’s do-or-die elimination games.The Walnut Grove Gators hammered Mt. Sleese 59-14 to advance to the round of 16. The Gators face Pacific Academy on Thursday (Feb. 24) with the winner moving to the championship draw this weekend at Chilliwack’s G.W. Graham.The Brookswood Bobcats lost a heartbreaker, 42-40 against the Tamanawis Wildcats.The Langley Fundamental Titans fell 61-30 to Veddder and Betty Gilbert lost 64-17 against Pitt Meadows.
