Get ready for lacrosse season with drop-in dates

Sessions for new and returning players start Feb. 15

Returning and new players are invited to a series of drop-in lacrosse sessions run by the Cowichan Valley Lacrosse Association in the coming weeks.

The sessions at the Cowichan Community Centre gym are free for new players, and $5 for returning players. New players require gloves and a helmet with full face mask — hockey gear is fine — and lacrosse sticks will be provided. Parents will need to sign a waiver in order for new players to play.

In order to get players into the swing of things, all drop-in sessions will be non-contact and player safety is the top priority.

All sessions are co-ed, except for the female-only sessions. Email cowichanthunder@gmail.com for more information.

Mini tyke and tyke (born 2012-2015)

Feb. 15 (9-9:50 a.m.), Feb. 22 (9- 9:50 a.m.), Feb. 29 (4-4:50 p.m.), March 1 (5-5:50 p.m.)

Novice (born 2010-2011)

Feb. 15 (10-10:50 a.m.), Feb. 22 (10-10:50 a.m.), Feb. 29 (5-5:50 p.m.), March 1 (6-6:50 p.m.)

Peewee (born 2008-2009)

Bantam and midget (born 2004-2007)
