The Grand Forks Secondary junior girls have put together two strong wins in a row beating BCSS (Midway) 34-8 on Monday and SHSS (Castlegar) 39-22 on Wednesday. Elizabeth Henne led the Wolves against BCSS with five points, while Victoria Henne scored 12 points and Tara Makortoff 10 against SHSS.
Even a three-hour delay on the Paulson Pass waiting for an accident to clear after the Castlegar game could dampen the spirit of the Wolves.
Last weekend, the junior girls travelled to Osoyoos for their first tournament of the year. Despite some good teamwork and solid defence, the Wolves came up short in their three games.
Next up, GFSS travels to Nelson Monday for a game against the LVRogers Bombers and Wednesday to Trail for a rematch with the J.L. Crowe Hawks.
