The Nelson Leafs rallied from a three-goal deficit but still fell 6-4 to the Ghostriders in Fernie on Thursday night.
Fernie scored four goals on just nine shots against Leafs starting goaltender Anderson Violette, who was pulled early in the second period. He was replaced by Tenzin Mint, who allowed one more goal on 22 shots.
Reid Wilson, Jaden Shumilak, Bryden Pow and Cole Wyatt each scored for the Leafs (15-4-3), who had their three-game winning streak snapped.
Jordon Kromm and Dylan Defosse each scored twice for Fernie (12-6-3), while Johnny Elias and Aiden Gleisner added singles. Ethan Fitzgerald meanwhile made 42 saves.
Nelson continues its three-games-in-three-nights road trip Friday against the Kimberley Dynamiters, followed by a game in Golden against the Rockets on Saturday.
