Gillies BCHL’s best in CSB rankings

Salmon Arm's Alex Gillies is the top ranked BCHL skater in the Central Scouting Bureau mid-term rankings.

The National Hockey League’s Central Scouting Bureau released its mid-term rankings this week, with eight BCHL skaters and two goalies making the list.

Salmon Arm forward Alex Gillies is the highest rated BCHLer, checking in at No. 102 among North American skaters.

When combined with the European skater list, that would project him into the fifth or sixth round.

West Kelowna Warriors forward Jason Cotton is next at No. 118 followed by Penticton Vees D-man Brett Beauvais at No. 134.

Fellow Vee Jack Ramsey checks in at No. 151.

Vernon’s Mason Blacklock is No. 158 followed by Merritt’s Jeff Wight (No. 183) and Vernon’s Demico Hannoun (No. 185).

Powell River D-man Luke Ripley is on the CSB radar, but isn’t assigned a rank due to ‘limited viewing.’

Victoria Grizzly Alec Dillon is the No. 26 North American goaltender followed by Penticton stopper Hunter Miska (No. 32).
