A program for youngsters hopes to get girls on the ball diamond.
This summer, a large number of four- and five-year-old girls have been showing up to play baseball on Sundays as part of the Canadian Girls Baseball Organization. Along with CGB, Highland teacher Sara Erickson has been overseeing the summer play.
