The Comox Valley Glacier Kings are holding their 2015 Summer Skills Camp Aug. 17-19 in Courtenay.
The camp is for Novice, Atom, PeeWee and Bantam players. Details and forms are on the Glacier Kings’ website (glacierkings.ca). The camp includes power skating and dryland training along with skills, drills and scrimmages.
The Yetis’ main camp (for Junior players) goes Aug. 21-23 in Courtenay, with forms and information on the team’s website.

Meanwhile, the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League has released its 2015-16 schedule.
Pre-season exhibition games begin Aug. 21, with the Glacier Kings hitting the ice a week later when they host the Mission City Outlaws of the Pacific Junior Hockey League in a two-game series at the Comox Valley Sports Centre.
The first game is Friday, Aug. 28 at 6:15 p.m. with the rematch Saturday, Aug. 29 at 1 p.m.
The Icemen open the regular season Sept. 5 at home against the Nanaimo Buccaneers then head north for a Sept. 6 tilt with the Campbell River Storm.
