Elizabeth Davis of the Camosun Chargers is the women’s volleyball player of the week for the B.C. College Athletic Association.

The 5-foot-10 grad of Glenlyon Norfolk School is in her rookie season as an outside hitter with the Chargers.

At home in the Pacific Institue for Sports Excellence on Friday (Jan. 21), Davis sparked the Chargers to a 3-0 win over the Columbia Bible College Bearcats (Abbotsford) with 13 kills and a pair of digs.

The next night Camosun lost by one set to the Fraser Valley Cascades, 3-2. Davis racked up another 22 kills, an ace and seven digs.

Davis was a member of Team B.C., winning bronze at the 2009 and 2010 National Team Challenge Cups.

The Chargers volleyball teams host the Capilano Blues Friday (today), men at 6 p.m., women at 7:45 p.m.

Saturday the Douglas College Royals visit, women at 1 p.m., men at 2:45 p.m.
