Andrew Kirk turned in a golden performance at the B.C. Junior Development Track and Field Championships, held July 23-24 in Kamloops.
Competing in the 12-year-old boys division, the Chilliwack Track and Field Club athlete reeled in four gold medals.
Kirk nabbed his first in the 100 metre dash, blazing down the track in 13 seconds.
His time of 26.92s earned him gold in the 200m dash, and he added first place finishes in the 300m dash (43.02s) and long jump (4.76m).
CTFC teammate Sienna Lenz competed in the 11-year-old girls division, scoring double gold in the high jump (1.39m) and javelin (25.22m).
Lenz added a bronze medal in shot put with a toss of 8.17m. She finished fifth in long jump, the 200m dash and 60m hurdles, placing ninth in the 60 and 100m dashes.
In the 13-year-old girls division, Tasha Willing earned gold in shot-put with a toss of 9.94m.
She placed second in the hammer throw (35.65m) and javelin (28.54m), finishing fifth in discus.
Rowan Hamilton competed in the 11-year-old boys division, taking gold in shot-put with a toss of 9.99m.
He scored silver in high jump (1.25m) and bronze in javelin (19.50m).
Hamilton finished fourth in the 200m dash, fifth in the 60m dash and long jump, seventh in the 100m dash and eighth in the 60m hurdles.
Marin Lenz (nine-year-old girls) earned silver in the high jump and shot-put, adding three bronze medals in the 60 and 100m dashes and long jump.
Nikki Gregory (11-year-old girls) finished second in the 200m dash, third in the 100m and fourth in the 60m, adding an eighth place finish in long jump.
