Canada Day celebrated at Crown Isle, Sunnydale

Tuesday, June 25 was the Canada Day team competition at Crown Isle. Forty ladies dressed in red and white golfed 18 holes.

The team of Judy Aldcroft, Kathy Thompson, Rhonda Ryan and Donna LeClair won first low gross.

The first low net winning team was Carol Ayley, Dee Horie, Margaret Forgeron and Irene Lewis.

KPs were won by Sandra Linhart and Horie on #4; Katy Macaulay and Susan Hawley on # 12.

Sunnydale ladies

Sunnydale Ladies Club celebrated Canada Day a little early as well, playing the white tees on the front 9, and red tees on the back with some of the Comox ladies joining in, June 25.

Low gross was Carolyn Walker with 88.Tied for 2nd low gross were Vicki Bombini and Cathy McArthur. 4th low gross was Teri Sleigh with 96.

Low net was Laurie Appleyard with 73, one stroke ahead of Judy Berkeley, Chora Eilertsen, and Lois Westbrook. Dianne Hing and Marg Walker tied for fifth low net, at 76.

Betty Lund had fewest putts (27).

Closes to the pin on No. 5 was Pat Rudolph, and on No. 10 was Kathie Reid.

Long putt on No. 9 was Judy Berkeley.
